Months of inventory numbered 3.1 at the end of January 2024, down from the 3.3 months recorded at the end of January 2023 and above the long-run average of 2.8 months for this time of year. Ontario MLS® Home Sales Drop to Lowest Annual Total since 2001
Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario numbered 161,696 units in December 2023. This was a large decline of 12.3% from 2022. The more comprehensive annual average price was $872,312, a decline of 6.3% from all of 2022. Ontario MLS® Home Sales Remain Subdued Despite Climbing Supply
Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario numbered 153,979 units in November 2023 year to date. This was a moderate decrease of -12.9% from November 2022. The more comprehensive year-to-date average price was $873,284, down by 6.7% from the first 11 months of 2022. Months of inventory numbered 4.4 at the end of November 2023, up from the 3 months recorded at the end of November 2022 and above the long-run average of 2.6 months for this time of year. Ontario MLS® Home Sales Continue to Decline in October
Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario numbered 143,587 units over the first 10 months of the year. This was down sharply by 13.4% from the same period in 2022. Active residential listings numbered 50,072 units on the market at the end of October, up sharply by 35.8% from the end of October 2022.
