Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario numbered 161,696 units in December 2023. This was a large decline of 12.3% from 2022. The more comprehensive annual average price was $872,312, a decline of 6.3% from all of 2022. Months of inventory numbered 3.9 at the end of December 2023, up from the 3.3 months recorded at the end of December 2022 and above the long-run average of 2.8 months for this time of year.
