Ontario MLS® Home Sales Continue Slowly to Recover Amongst Inventory Surge
Residential sales activity reported through the MLS® Systems of real estate boards in Ontario home sales totalled 104,782 units over the year's first seven months. This was a modest decline of 2.9% from the same period in 2023. The more comprehensive year-to-date average price was $872,577, a minor decrease of 1.3% from the first seven months of 2023. Months of inventory numbered 4.2 at the end of July 2024, up from the 3.1 months recorded at the end of July 2023 and above the long-run average of 2.7 months for this time of year.
